at the beginning of each class.
Each class will include the common social Latin Dances:
Salsa/ Bachata / Merengue
Working on follow/lead connection, timing, appearance, basic patterns, basic turns,
basic Cuban/ Latin motion etc. with a Los Angeles style / Ballroom Influence.
These beginner classes will prepare each student for the intermediate level,
focusing a bit on ladies/men styling, Afro-Cuban body movement/isolation, & footwork.
Come meet new people, relieve stress, build confidence, get a great workout,
& achieve better balance, coordination, posture, etc.
Salsa will be taught the first 25 minutes of class.
Popular Bachata will be taught the next 20 minutes of class,
with an influence of Modern, Tango, & Dominican styles.
Merengue will be taught the last 15 minutes of class.
Each class will also have an ongoing review
of previous week material (patterns/combos/turns etc).
NO PARTNER NEEDED!
-WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT WEAR RUBBER SOLE SHOES
BECAUSE THEY TEND TO STICK TO THE DANCE FLOOR-
MEN: Please wear leather-soled shoes that are narrow,
not large & clumpy/heavy,
until you are ready to acquire proper dance shoes.
LADIES: Please wear comfortable heels, at least two inches high that are open-toed,
with an ankle strap for proper support,
until you are ready to acquire proper dance shoes.
