Magic Music offers a full range of professional recording services from pre-production and recording to mixing and mastering. These services allow Magic Music students the opportunity to showcase their talents with a recording of their own. Whether you need help in the writing process, or just need some pre-recorded tracks to record your part with, we are at your service to help you any way we can!
For in-home Beat-Making and Digital Music Production & Engineering,
we have a professional Engineer who will come to your home with all of the equipment needed.
Our music engineers can also work with you at any of our lesson studio locations.
Our music engineers are available to help you with numerous applications and programs such as
Pro Tools, Garage Band, Sony Acid Pro, Sonar, Cakewalk, & more.
The in-studio engineering for these services in the Dallas area are provided by a Grammy-Nominated Mastering Engineer on Magic Music's Staff who has worked with many chart-topping bands and artists such as Snoop Dogg and Alanis Morissette, and has over 15 years of professional engineering experience.
We work exclusively with high-end professional audio equipment
ensuring the best sound quality possible.
Here is a more detailed description of the Studio Services that Magic Music offers:
Production: A music producer helps the Artist(s) develop his/her sounds. In this step melodies, harmonies, lyrics, song structure, arrangement, and overall orchestration of the songs are discussed and demoed.
Recording: This is the process where the music is stored on tape or hard disk.
Mixing: In mixing, the artist and producer create a sonic palate by balancing-out the instruments and adding effects. Mixing combines multiple tracks and sums or mixes them to a two track stereo format.
Mastering: Mastering is the final fine-tuning creative step your music goes through before your CD is ready for pressing. Mastering ensures that the volume and eq of the songs are consistent and that the flow between tracks is where you want it. Are you looking for some additional punch and crispness? Do you want your CD to jump out of the speakers? Mastering helps achieve this. During this process, you can also digitally and nondestructively make radio edits and also do any necessary digital restoration.
Digital Restoration: Remove clicks and pops along and unwanted noise from the musical source (usually vinyl or cassette) and have the digitally restored versions transferred to CD. You'll be amazed at what today's technology can do to enhance old or rough recordings.
Hourly Rate for Recording, Mixing, and Digital Restoration: $80.00
For projects with large workloads that entail production, recording, mixing and mastering, we offer a flat discount rate. That helps achieve the same high-quality product while keeping to a fixed budget.
Rate for Mastering: $75 per song
-There is no charge for one off reference CDRS and production master CDRS.
Pro Audio/Recording Training including Electronic Drum Programming:
Our Studio has the M Audio Trigger Finger and Keystation Pro 88 control surfaces to trigger the samples and sounds in the computer. Our soundbanks consist of four FXPansion's BFD drum modules and all eight of Steinberg's Halion and Virtual modules. We are endorsed by both FXPansion and Steinberg.
Our Recording Studios are located in Dallas and in McKinney, Texas, and in Los Angeles, and are available for use through enrollment & appointment.
We also offer in-your-home Production and Engineering by enrollment.
All equipment needed is brought to you!
